Video for National Flooring Company just wrapped – http://bit.ly/dDu4Yv

This is one of three videos we just finished up for Azrock by Tarkett in Houston.  It was a fun project. We are looking for more work like this! Let me know if we can help.

Can good marketing save the world?

I often feel like the reason a particular endeavor is or was unsuccessful is directly related to how well it was marketed. Presentation is everything, right? As a marketer, do you ever have to remind yourself, this is not the case (and tell your client)? The product / relationship HAS to be worth a flip if it is going to be successful. Food for thought… what say you?

Really? – A Class on how to survive if an employee starts shooting in your workplace?

I just received this email and I’m sure it is good information but, it is really kinda scary!

Thankfully, I work from my laptop where ever that happens to be. Home, Coffee shops, wherever. If there are any would-be shooters reading this. Most of the time, I have a 40 cal. Taurus tucked away somewhere and I know how to use it.

Here is the email:

The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office will present a two hour class on

How to Survive an Active Shooter

These two hour blocks of instruction will provide attendees with a better understanding on what to do in the event of an incident at their work place. In addition a Managers planning guide will be provided to help you develop an EAP “Emergency Action Plan”.
The program will be available on the following days 03-15, 03-16, 04-27, 04-28, and 05-17, 05-18. Supervisors of any size office are encouraged to attend.
Classes are from 9AM until 11AM at the Sheriff’s Office Administrative building. Ask for directions when you call.

I have been playing around in the new browser for a week or so now. As usual, Google did a great job. YMMV.

Photographer and the model – Pulling double duty

With the help of Nikon’s IR remote & timer feature, I was able to shoot the new band photos for Highland Rim Bluegrass Band while being in the shoot. It was a unique experience, I defiantly prefer to be behind the lens rather than in front of it!

The City of Franklin, TN launched there new updated CMS based website this week. The site is a virtual “City Hall” complete with most all of the city services available now online.
Congratulations to the staff and developers! I have to say that the new logo looks fantastic and give props to my mentor, Dan Klatt for designing such a fine graphic element!
The website is certainly something to be proud of!

How important is your choice of profile picture? No big deal, or a deal breaker?

Later this afternoon I’m shooting some corporate head-shots for a Board of Directors in Franklin. In this age of social media and high visibility how important is it to have a nice, professional photograph of yourself? Like it or not big impressions are made by your choice of profile picture. It is worth it to have a pro shooter capture you at your best.
